Most people wouldn’t think that in the typically warm climate of Las Vegas you would find ski and snowboarding resorts. However, it’s one of the most popular activities in Las Vegas to do while on vacation during the winter. Ideally people travel from all over the world to see the stunning Las Vegas strip and the gorgeously decored casinos that line the strip.

During the winter months in Las Vegas many people flock to the region for skiing and snowboarding. One of the most known resorts in the area is the Skiing & Snowboarding Resort Las Vegas. The resort is only 40 minutes north of the strip in Las Vegas and many tourists make the trip to the mountains at least once during there stay in Vegas.

The resort features eleven trials and four lifts with the longest run being 3000 feet and biggest vertical drop coming in at a staggering 860 feet. They have a capacity of roughly 3500 skiers and snowboarders per hour. The resort has a huge 500 foot intermediate half-pipe which is recommended for use by intermediate snowboarders and skiers.

Amenities which you can use while visiting the resort include a food and beverage service, equipment store, equipment rental, clothing rental and season locker rentals. These amenities are available everyday that the mountain is open so you won’t ever need to worry about your locker not being accessible or the equipment rentals store being closed.

Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is located in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and is very easy to find coming from Las Vegas. There are lots of signs leading right to the resort and it’s one of the best ski and snowboarding resorts located near Las Vegas
